News organizations are invited to attend the opening lunchtime reception at Lockheed Martin in Syracuse Thursday, April 17 from 11:30 to 12:30 p.m. at the conference center in Building 6 in Electronics Park.

The art show is part of the Cultural Resources Council's On My Own Time program, which was initiated in 1974 in cooperation with the Everson Museum of Art. The program is intended to help local businesses identify and celebrate artistic talent among their employees. This year, 22 artists from Lockheed Martin are participating in the show.

Over 50 pieces of artwork will be on display in 12 submission categories, ranging from photography and paintings to quilts and sculptures. Professional artists will judge all submissions to determine which works will be displayed at the Everson Museum of Art and featured in a catalogue during an award ceremony in October.
