Burlington County Resident Appointed Vice President At Lockheed MartinMoorestown, N.J., March 6, 2003 Carl P. Bannar has been appointed vice president, Program Operations, for Lockheed Martin Naval Electronics & Surveillance Systems (NE&SS). In this capacity, he will develop, review, and implement program performance strategies, support sound business and program execution strategies for ongoing and new business pursuits, and establish and sustain effective practices to support optimum program performance. The NE&SS business includes operations in Moorestown, N.J., Manassas, Va., Baltimore, Md., Eagan, Minn., Akron, Ohio, and Syracuse, N.Y. Bannar joined Lockheed Martin in July 1984 as a radar systems engineer and has held increasingly responsible positions, most recently as vice president, Technical Operations, at the Moorestown, N.J.-based NE&SS business. He will continue in this position until a replacement is named. "With his background and extensive experience in engineering and technology leadership, Carl brings a valuable new dimension to our business," said Fred P. Moosally, president of NE&SS. "Carl will be responsible for bringing the strength of our people and technical resources to bear on current programs and new pursuits. Through his leadership we can strengthen our position in an increasingly competitive marketplace." Bannar received a B.S. and M.S. in Computer Science from Drexel University.
